Pre-Biotics

Pre-biotic herbs are non-digestible starches that pass through the digestive tract and promote the growth of beneficial micro-organisms in the intestines. They include many demulcent herbs, such as marshmallow root and psillium, and are usually used as powders.

We stock a range of prebiotic herbs, and often used them as part of a blend for treating digestive problems. It is very often the case that improving digestive function leads to big improvements in general health and wellbeing.
