Plantain and Eyebright Compound (Plantago lanceolata)

Plantain and Eyebright Compound is a spicy blend of herbs traditionally used to provide relief from chronic nasal catarrh and rhinitis. This complex formula contains small amounts of many herbs to tone and reduce inflammation in the mucous membranes, whether due to allergies, a cold or a chronic issue. This traditional combination of astringent, anti-inflammatory, anti-allergenic and mucous thinning herbs can be taken when required for some relief from acute symptoms or for more entrenched issues try it three times a day until you finish the bottle.

To learn more about the herbs we have selected for this blend, check out the ingredients tab above. If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, taking any medication listed in the cautions tab, or seeking a blend for a child, please get in touch and we will make a bespoke mix for you at no extra cost. Many people find this mix very useful, however you may benefit from some individual advice particularly if you think you may have acute sinusitis, if your symptoms are severe, worsening or long term, so do get in touch.

2.5mls (half teaspoon) in warm water. Sip, gargle and swallow.

If you think this blend is unsuitable for you, please ask us for an alternative to suit your needs.

Avoid during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Very strong spicy flavour.

Do not use if you are receiving hormonal therapy for cancer, such as tamoxifen (black cohosh). Rare known hypersensitivity to yarrow and other Compositae family plants (yarrow). Avoid alongside phenylbutazone and other medications which displace protein binding of bilirubin (mahonia). Avoid in states of agitated depression (rhodiola; although the dose of this herb in this compound is unlikely to be sufficient to cause side effects in this respect). Avoid alongside Interferon medication (baikal skullcap).
